Antibiotic resistance and bacteriophages in Georgia

About:
The presentation will include general information about antibiotic resistance and bacteriophages, as well as antimicrobial resistance and bacteriophages use in Georgia. The results of an appropriate research on the awareness of antimicrobial resistance among medical students will also be mentioned.

Bio:
Helen (Elene) Phagava graduated from the Tbilisi State Medical University, Georgia (MD, PhD) and the University of London, UK (MPH). She works at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Tbilisi State Medical University (Associate Professor) and is also  co-editor of the International Journal of Health Governance. She is the author of 73 scientific publications. Her main research interests are: health and health-related behaviour of young people, systematic reviews and meta-analysis, antimicrobial resistance, rare diseases, and the use of information technology in medicine.
