Cell Discoverer 7: Examples and applications.

Presentation of the Celldiscoverer 7 with LSM900 to introduce the centre's researchers to the options offered by this equipment belonging to the CiMUS general services infrastructures. The functions of the equipment will be reviewed and real examples of its use will be presented.

Very often in life science research, in order to achieve a reliable result, it is necessary to perform multiple repetitions of experiments or to carry out complex assays. Automation and parallelisation are of great help in reducing the time needed to achieve this. It is this drive towards automation and efficiency that led to the development of the Celldiscoverer 7, in order to combine the user-friendly automation of a box microscope with the image quality and flexibility of a classic inverted research microscope. The Celldiscoverer 7 calibrates itself, automatically detects and focuses your sample and optimises all optical parameters without the need for user interaction. All components of the Celldiscoverer 7 are optimised for hassle-free automated imaging. New users and multi-user installations will especially enjoy the built-in automation and usability features, as even the most inexperienced microscope users can capture high-quality data with ease. This leaves more time to get on with other projects.

Now we present the Celldiscoverer 7, which fuses the advantages of widefield imaging with the unrivalled sensitivity of the camera, ensuring the acquisition of more delicate images when working with sensitive biological samples. In this talk we will also show practical examples of applications that might be of interest in your research.

The main goal of the ZEISS Celldiscoverer 7 is to make complex microscopy simple. Whether working with 2D or 3D cell cultures, tissue sections or small model organisms, you will benefit from better data in less time with this reliable automated research platform.
