About
Cellular senescence was originally described more than 60 years ago. However, only in recent decades our understanding of this response has allowed us to realize the relevance of senescence in normal physiology and in numerous pathological contexts, from cancer development to age-related diseases. Exploring the physiological role of senescence and the basis of its pathological action will allow us to develop novel therapeutic strategies.
