Cytoplasmic live-cell biopsies and transfection of single-cells with FluidFM

Dr. Tamás Gerecsei. Sales Manager

Cytosurge, Switzerland

19 March 2025 12:00–13:00

Theatre room, CiMUS

About

The seminar introduces the concept of live-seq through conducting single-cell biopsies. The innovative approach presented uses Fluidic Force Microscopy (FluidFM) to gently extract a part of the cytoplasm from individual living cells while preserving their viability. These cytoplasmic biopsies can be used for subsequent highly sensitive, low-input RNA-seq analysis to sequence single cells multiple times through their lifetime.

Bio

Tamás Gerecsei completed his PhD thesis using fluidic force microscopy and optical biosensors to study cell adhesion, at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Following his PhD, he joined Cytosurge in Switzerland to work on advancing FluidFM technology and making it accessible to researchers globally.

Certificates of attendance will be provided upon request to cimus.xestion [at] usc.es (cimus[dot]xestion[at]usc[dot]es). Please do not forget to enter your name and surname on the printout.
