Second Series of Conferences on Gender Equity and Inclusion

In the third talk of the Second Series of Conferences on Gender Equity and Inclusion, Sonia Eiras Penas will present her lecture entitled “Equidad diagnóstica y terapéutica en enfermedad cardiovascular”, addressing gender disparities in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. 

Bio: 

PhD in Biology from the University of Santiago de Compostela, she is currently a senior researcher specializing in cardiovascular disease, with a focus on adipose tissue biomarkers and their role in cardiac pathology and pharmacological regulation. She has an extensive publication record as a senior author in leading international journals such as Cardiovascular Research, Obesity Reviews, Journal of Cellular Physiology, and Atherosclerosis.
