G-NIGHT - The Galician night. European night of researchers. Santiago de Compostela

The European Researchers' Night is a scientific dissemination event held simultaneously in cities all over Europe on the last Friday in September. Researchers are the protagonists, showing the diversity of science and technology and their impact on the lives of citizens. This initiative is organized within the H2020 framework programme through the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA).

For the fourth year in a row, CiMUS will participate in this day taking place in Santiago de Compostela with a scientific workshops for all audiences:

  • "About washing and how to fight against the invisible" (Molecular Oncology Laboratory Group)
    A simple way to protect ourselves against microorganisms is to wash our hands properly. In this workshop, we will make a virus model using cooking material and see how soap affects its structure.

The University of Santiago de Compostela is one of the organizing bodies.
