About
Dysregulated kinase signalling drives cancer progression and therapeutic resistance. This presentation explores quantitative phosphoproteomics as a systems-level approach to directly measure kinase networks and enable personalised oncology. I will also discuss how new knowledge on the epigenetic mechanisms that regulate oncogenic signalling may be harnessed to revert resistance to targeted therapies.
Bio
Pedro Rodríguez Cutillas works at the interface of proteomics, cell signalling, and data science. After completing his PhD (2004) and postdoctoral training (2004–2007) at UCL, he joined the Barts Cancer Institute (Queen Mary University of London) as a tenured PI in 2007, and became a professor in 2020. In 2025, he joined the IPBLN-CSIC with an ATRAE fellowship to investigate the epigenetic mechanisms that regulate oncogenic kinase signalling.
