PhD in Sciences (Biology) from the UAM, Madrid. Postdoctoral stays at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, London, UK; NYU Medical School, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA; and CNB, Madrid. Senior staff researcher at the CNIO, Madrid from 2003-2012. Since 2012, Miguel Servet researcher for SERGAS at IDIS, Santiago de Compostela. Since 2023, CSIC tenured research scientist. Member of the Executive Committee of the International Cell Senescence Association (ICSA) since 2017. President of the Spanish Society of Cell Senescence (SENESCEL).
