One researcher position is available at the Immunity and Small Molecules lab at the Centre for research in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases (CiMUS) of the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), in the area of mechanisms of autoimmunity. Successful candidates will contribute to the project “Examining the role of self-metabolites as autoantigens in Type 1 Diabetes (Self-MAIT1D)”. The position is fully funded by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) until 2027.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have obtained a MSc in Immunology or related fields, with creditable experience in molecular biology, cell culture, flow cytometry and/or day-to-day management in a research lab, sharing our passion to disentangle mechanisms of autoimmunity. The selected candidate is expected to start in early September 2024.
Location:
The Immunity and Small Molecules Lab, head by Dr. Iria Gomez-Tourino, is located in the CiMUS research center of the University of Santiago de Compostela, one of the largest universities in Northwest Spain. The center hosts 40 laboratories and more than 250 researchers, including grantees from the European Research Council, Marie Curie, and other prestigious programs.
