Another exciting edition of the internal CiMUS Workshop was held
- In this meeting to share research results and fostering synergies, the younger researchers from CiMUS presented their projects.
- This edition will feature a keynote lecture "Exploring tumor vulnerabilities by targeting stress kinase signaling" by Dr Angel R. Nebreda, ICREA Research Professor, ERC Advanced Grantee and group leader of the Signalling and Cell Cycle laboratory at IRB, Barcelona.
We celebrated the 5th edition of our internal CiMUS Workshop, a highly anticipated gathering of our research community. This year’s event held special significance as it marked our return to a fully in-person format, allowing us to once again experience the energy, inspiration, and collaborative spirit that comes from meeting face-to-face.
The CiMUS Workshop was a one-day event packed with presentations and discussions, showcasing the remarkable diversity conducted at our centre and sharing our scientific achievements with the CiMUS community. We delved into cutting-edge advancements in Oncology, Cardio-metabolism, Neuroscience, Genomics, Drug Delivery and Discovery, Nanomedicine and Regenerative Medicine.
We are pleased to highlight the contributions of our young researchers, whose energy and fresh perspectives are vital to the growth and dynamism of our centre.
This edition of the workshop also featured the participation of Dr. Angel R. Nebreda from IRB Barcelona, focused on two ongoing research projects: improving therapies for triple-negative breast cancer and finding alternative treatments for pediatric osteosarcoma. Dr. Nebreda has a long-time experience investigating mechanisms of signal integration, and during the past 20 years has focused on molecular oncology. Current research topics include: Stress-activated protein kinases, Tumor cell homeostasis and chemoresistance mechanisms, and Cross talk between cancer cells and stromal cells. He has published 195 peer-reviewed papers.
Thank you all for your participation and dedication!
