CiMUS dresses up for Christmas

Christmas has arrived at CiMUS with a special program of activities designed to enhance interaction between research groups. This coming Friday, the 13th, at 2:00 PM, there will be a special Christmas lunch in the hall of the Center, during which the winners of the 1st CiMUS Christmas Door Contest will be announced.

Following this, the 1st Charity Bingo will be held, scheduled to start at 4:30 PM, with the money raised being donated to an association. To decide which association to donate the money to, each line/bingo winner will have a list of proposed associations and will vote for one of them. At the end of the afternoon, the association with the most votes will be chosen to receive the money. Additionally, each line/bingo winner will receive a symbolic gift.

🎄We hope to count on your presence to enjoy a special moment, full of Christmas spirit, good food, and solidarity!🎄

From the direction and management of CiMUS we feel that we have received the best greeting, the precious Christmas Doors: the most vivid message of joy and commitment of the people who make CiMUS. For us ALL of them are winners. Thank you very much and congratulations!

We hold our breath for the prizes and the charity bingo led by our Super-Eva.

We want to thank everyone for the great reception of the First CiMUS Christmas Door Contest, with 20 doors registered and 136 votes. Thank you all for your participation! You are all winners!

On the other hand, we want to thank Portomédica and Proquinorte for sponsoring this festive contest by providing gift baskets and merchandise for the three winning doors.
The voting was carried out through a survey where only staff with a USC corporate email address could vote once, assigning 5, 3 and 1 point to different doors they considered worthy of first, second and third place, respectively. After confirming that the rules were followed, the voting remained very close until the last moment.

The winning doors were: Merry Biogrinchmas, from Floor -1, in third place; Navidad in vivo y en directo, from lab P2L4, in second place; and  Infelices para siempre, from lab SSL7, in first place.

The most important aspect of this contest has been the Christmas spirit that could be felt across all floors of the center: people walking through the halls to see the decorations on other doors, the friendly competition among different labs, teamwork, and creativity at its best...

The Christmas activities culminated on Friday the 13th with a wonderful meal featuring a Christmas dress code, where we all ate and drank together.

Following the resolution of the First CiMUS Christmas Door Contest, the First Charity Bingo was held. Thanks to the bingo,  376€ were raised, which will be donated to asociación orensana de Esclerosis Múltiple, Parkinson y Enfermedades Raras (AODEMPER).

Happy holidays! We hope to celebrate it again next year, and thank you all for making it possible!
