CiMUS reflects on the impact of collaborative science through the BIST excellence model

The CiMUS of the USC presented today the scientific and strategic vision of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), an institution that brings together seven excellence research centers within the CERCA system, with the aim of fostering multidisciplinary work, promoting the training of research talent, and increasing the impact of scientific research.

The session was delivered by the Director General of BIST, Eduard Vallory, who shared his perspective on the role of collaborative science and the strategies needed to enhance the scientific and social impact of research.

The activity was especially targeted at research center management and leadership profiles, although it was also of great interest to group leaders and researchers in general.
During the meeting, attendees had the opportunity to learn first‑hand about BIST’s model of scientific cooperation and to reflect on current challenges in the management of excellence‑driven research.
