CiMUS researcher at USC, Diana Guallar, receives the SEBBM 2025 ‘Women and Science’ Award

Diana Guallar, Principal Investigator at CiMUS of USC and coordinator of the Epitranscriptomics & Ageing group, has been awarded this year’s ‘Women and Science’ Prize, a recognition granted by the Spanish Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SEBBM) during its 47th Annual Congress held in Cáceres.
The award was given by María Mayán (CINBIO) and Cintia Folgueira (IDIS), highlighting her career and scientific contributions in the field of molecular biology
As part of the recognition, Guallar delivered the ‘Women and Science’ lecture, entitled ‘Navigating the epitranscriptome: from pluripotency to ageing’, in which she addressed the role of the epitranscriptome in key processes ranging from cellular pluripotency to ageing
