CiMUS-USC researcher Carla García has been recognized with the 12th Julián Francisco Suárez Freire Prize for Young Researchers, awarded by the Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Galicia (RAFG).
The award recognizes her most recent work on gene therapy for the treatment of glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive brain tumors. The study, carried out in collaboration with IDIS and international universities, demonstrates the potential of nanoparticles designed to deliver therapeutic genes directly to tumor cells, improving treatment efficacy and opening new avenues for future cancer therapies.
This distinction highlights the research excellence of young scientists in Galicia and underscores the relevance of our work in advanced biomedicine and oncology.
