Isabel Fariñas, winner of the National Research Award 2024
The member of the external scientific committee of the CiMUS of the USC and professor at the University of Valencia in the Department of Cell Biology, Functional Biology and Physical Anthropology, Isabel Fariñas, has just been recognised with the National Research Award 2024, awarded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (MICIU), in the Santiago Ramón y Cajal category. This is Spain's most important award in the field of scientific research.
He has received the award for his outstanding scientific career, recognised both nationally and internationally, and the excellence of his research with great social impact. His original contributions to the biology of neurotrophic factors and neural stem cells and their applications to the treatment of neurological diseases stand out.
