Kick-start Your Research Career at CiMUS
- The Centre is offering 10 fellowships this coming July to undergraduate students interested in getting involved in research.
The VIII edition of the Summer Fellowship Programme «CiMUS Summer School» is now open. This Singular Centre of the USC offers 10 paid summer placements in its laboratories for undergraduate students keen to gain hands-on research experience in the field of Life Sciences.
The programme immerses students in a dynamic, competitive research environment where they can work on projects at the cutting edge of knowledge.
About the Summer Fellowships:
• Stipend: €750 (gross)
• Additional support: Travel / accommodation allowance for students who do not live in Santiago de Compostela
• Dates: July (full month)
Development of a research project
To be eligible, candidates must have passed 55% of the credits of their undergraduate studies in Biology, Pharmacy, Medicine, Chemistry, or another related degree from any university, with an average grade equal to or higher than 8 on a scale of 10.
During their stay, the selected candidates will be able to develop a short research project under the supervision of a CiMUS Principal Investigator within the framework of the 2 research programmes: "Molecular Mechanisms" which studies chronic diseases with a high impact on society (obesity and metabolism, cardiovascular, neurodegenerative and cancer) and "Integrative Translational" on new drugs and new therapeutic strategies (drug screening, nano-delivery, genomic medicine and radiotherapeutics).
