Jesús R. Requena

Jesús R. Requena obtained his Master´s degree in Biochemistry at the University of Valencia and his Ph.D. at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). He conducted postdoctoral research at the University of South Carolina and the Protein Biochemistry Lab, NHLBI, NIH, Bethesda. He returned to the USC as a Ramón y Cajal Researcher and currently is Associate Professor at USC. He has published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He coordinated the European Commission funded FP7 project “Priority” on prion research and recently hosted the Prion2019 international conference in Santiago de Compostela.
