Lucía Sanjurjo Bouza

Lucía Sanjurjo holds a PhD in Immunology from the University of Barcelona. She specialized in tumor immunology and immunotherapy during her postdoctoral training at the Amsterdam Medical Center and the i3s in Porto.
In 2021, she joined Prof. María José Alonso's group at CiMUS, where she integrates immunology with nanotechnology and drug delivery to advance new cancer treatments. Supported by an AECC (Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer) talent grant since 2024, her current research focuses on developing nanotechnology-driven T cell redirecting therapies. Ultimately, her research aims to advance cancer treatments by combining nanotechnology and immunotherapy.
