Postdoctoral

Postdoctoral researchers will be integrated into the new horizontal research projects. Mobility will be a key part of the CiMUS postdoctoral programme. International mobility of postdoctoral researchers joining the CiMUS project will be ensured. Importantly, we will offer an Individual Development Plan proposed by FASEB to monitor their training and individual achievements. In addition, they will be offered to participate in the EMBO Leadership course organised by us in CiMUS, as was done with great success in the past (2018).

Talent Attraction. CiMUS provided supports from a specific International Call Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme. Its aim is to recruit promising candidates who may obtain Junior PI status in the future. A summer fellowship programme and an international workshop are also expected to reinforce our attraction.

CiMUS will provide a welcome package (travel, accommodation in university residences, access to all sports facilities, etc.), assistance in obtaining work permits and relocation, the training mentioned above and a personalised mentoring programme for emerging researchers.

It should be noted that we applied, through the latest call of the EU-COFUND postdoctoral training programme, together with other centres (CiQUS, CiTIUS, CITIC, etc.), an offer to receive four non-Spanish fellows per year. They will be funded by the EU, the regional government and CiMUS internal resources.

Continuing the actions for the attraction of Talent. We intend to continue to be a centre of reference in terms of attracting young researchers through the Ramón y Cajal Programme. In the last period we decided to make a special effort to incorporate senior researchers through the Opportunious Programme and the Distinguished Researchers Programme. We will continue this effort, especially with regard to incorporations through the Opportunius Programme.
